Niobium is an amazing metal, which is very similar to titanium and is even coloured with the same method as titanium, using electricity to create a brilliantly coloured layer of vibrant oxidization on the ring.

The natural (uncoloured) form of Niobium is similar to natural titanium, with a dark, matte finish (not shiny like sterling).

Unlike titanium jump rings, which are nearly impossible to work with when saw cut, all of our Niobium jump rings are saw cut. The hardness of Niobium is more like working with sterling silver.

It is impossible to be allergic to Niobium, so it is perfect for everyone, including those with metal sensitivities!

Please remember that it is best to order more rings than you might need for one project. We try and make the rings the same colour but the process varies, so the colour may not be exact each time you order it! The colour coating is wonderful for jewelry uses, but the colour coating is not indestructible and may fade with excessive wear. Individual body chemistry may also influence the overall durability, in that some people find the colour lasts a long, long time with constant wear, where others may find their body chemistry causes the colour to fade. Overall this is a beautiful material and is very popular at our trade shows!

Please Note: Our Niobium jump rings are sold in one half ounce (.5oz.) increments. To order by the ounce, please order in multiples of 2. (2 x .5 ounce = 1 ounce, 4 x .5 ounce = 2 ounces, etc...)
