Twisted Rings are a Metal Designz specialty! They are very unique and have endless possibilities for weaving and creating. In this process we take 2 pieces of wire and twist them together by hand. Then the twisted wire is coiled like normal and fed through the saw. Because this is a hand wound operation, there will be some variation in the rings. We will do our best to create these rings with as much continuity as possible, but please realize this is extremely difficult to have every ring exactly alike.

We only offer these rings in enameled copper. It is extremely difficult to twist wire that is strong, so for example, twisted titanium rings are out of the question. Because enameled copper is a softer metal, it twists very well. However, you still must be gentle with your pliers when weaving these rings, as you don't want to mark or deform the rings.

Both sizes of our Twisted Rings are close to 18 gauge thickness and are made from 2 pieces of 20 gauge wire twisted together, so the gauge is not precise!

The possibilities for various colour combinations are endless. Twisted rings can be made from the same two colours to form a solid colour ring or two different colours twisted together. When ordering, please specify the colours you would like twisted together from the drop-down menus.

Please Note: The shipping time on these rings is slightly longer than our regular same day shipping, as our Twisted Rings are specifically made for each order individually. Every effort is made to get them out as soon as possible, but in general expect a 1 week lead time for orders that include Twisted Rings to account for production time and equipment adjustments.
