This advanced tutorial from best-selling chainmail author Dylon Whyte contains everything you need to know to weave, end, join and make jewelry pieces from the Dylon's original "Silver Serpent" pattern. As well as information on suitable jump ring sizes and materials.

"Silver Serpent", also known as "1 in 5 Half-Persian", is a tight, yet supple weave with an excellent tactile feel. Highly reminiscent of a snake's body, this pattern is suitable for many jewelry and decorative applications, which, like most other Half-Persian patterns, features a trapezoidal cross-section, giving the pattern two unique faces.

Kits include Bright Aluminum and Copper 18 gauge rings in the appropriate size for the tutorial. We chose these materials as they are easy to work with and experiment with and we chose to include 18 gauge rings in these kits as that seems to be the most logical place to start.
