This beginner's tutorial from best-selling chainmail author Dylon Whyte contains everything you need to know to weave, end, join and make jewelry pieces from the historical "1 in 3 Half-Persian" pattern. As well as information on suitable jump ring sizes and materials, including special instructions for incorporating neoprene O-rings for the purpose of creating stretchy and colourful jewelry.

"1 in 3 Half-Persian" is a flat, open weave suitable for many jewelry and decorative applications, which, like most other Half-Persian patterns, features a trapezoidal cross-section, giving the pattern two unique faces.

Kits include Bright Aluminum and Copper 18 gauge rings in the appropriate size for the tutorial. We chose these materials as they are easy to work with and experiment with and we chose to include 18 gauge rings in these kits as that seems to be the most logical place to start.
